Crash Course on Burnout Prevention through ACTr
Behavior analysts and caregivers alike face burnout and emotional fatigue that can compromise treatment integrity and client outcomes. This CEU bridges contextual behavior science and applied supervision practices, demonstrating how Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACTr) can be used to teach and model self-care in ethical, behavior-analytic ways. Participants will learn to operationalize self-care behaviors, train others using behavior skills training (BST), and apply ACTr principles—such as values, acceptance, and committed action—to promote resilience in caregivers, RBTs, and BCBAs.

Know When to Refer: Ethical Boundaries Across ABA, OT, ST, and PT Collaboration
As Behavior Analysts, we love our data, our interventions, and our beautifully graphed progress. But let’s be honest—sometimes ABA isn’t the whole picture (shocking, I know). There are moments when the most ethical and effective move we can make is to recognize our limits and call in reinforcements. In this course, we’ll explore how to determine when it’s time to refer a client to another discipline, such as Occupational Therapy (OT), Speech-Language Pathology (SLP), or Physical Therapy (PT). You’ll learn to apply the BACB Ethics Code to identify when a referral isn’t just a nice idea—it’s a professional responsibility. We’ll also walk through how to rule out ABA as the primary course of action, and how to identify who to refer to so your client gets the most well-rounded, ethical care possible. By the end of this CEU, you’ll not only sharpen your ethical decision-making skills—you’ll also walk away with a clearer sense of professional boundaries, a deeper respect for interdisciplinary teamwork, and maybe a little more confidence saying, “This one’s not mine—let’s bring in the experts.”
